This procedure applies to complaints concerning content, editorial procedures, or policies for which Transactions on Data Science with Applications (TDSA) or its editorial staff are responsible. Complaints are considered carefully and handled in a fair, timely, and constructive manner. The journal seeks to protect the interests of both the complainant and any person who is the subject of a complaint. Making a complaint Complaints should be submitted by email to tdsa@reapress.com. The complaint should clearly describe the matter, identify any relevant manuscript or article, and include supporting information where appropriate. All complaints will be handled confidentially. The editorial office coordinates the complaints process. Each complaint is initially assigned to the member of the editorial team responsible for the matter. If the complainant considers the initial response insufficient, a review by a more senior member of the editorial team may be requested. If the complaint remains unresolved, it may be referred to the Editor-in-Chief, whose decision constitutes the journal’s final internal response. After receiving this response, a complainant who remains dissatisfied may refer the matter to an appropriate external body. Complaints concerning matters outside the authority of the TDSA editorial team will be forwarded to the relevant department within REA Press. Complaints addressed directly to the publisher’s senior management will normally be referred to the Editor-in-Chief for consideration. Complaint timeframes All complaints will be formally acknowledged within three working days. Where possible, a full response will be provided within two weeks. If the matter requires further investigation, the complainant will receive an interim response within two weeks and subsequent updates until the complaint has been resolved.
